Guqin is one of the oldest national musical instruments in China, the essence of Chinese music, and the artistic vector of Chinese traditional culture. This course provides basic knowledge on Chinese Guqin from the aspects of Guqin's historical development, structure and fingering, works appreciation, and Guqin culture, so that foreign students can learn about Guqin, listen to ancient songs, understand Chinese Guqin culture, and appreciate the simplicity and charm of traditional Chinese music.
