Traditional Chinese Painting is an enduring art-form in China and the evolving offspring of lasting cultural tradition and folk customs. It is an art underscored by the vivid representation of objects, the meticulous application of ink and styles to demonstrate the intangible traits of objects, the professional and creative use of power on the movements of brushes, the overall arrangement of figures and blank spaces and the sensational appeal generated by the picture. This course will introduce first of all the differences between traditional Chinese painting and western paintings. It will also demonstrate the techniques and processes of traditional Chinese painting to help attendees get a hang of the tools, themes and artistic designs in traditional Chinese painting.
