8Pavilions are an important part of traditional Chinese architecture. Tai refers to "high rectangle platform". Because of its height, it was used for solider drilling. It is located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and was built to commemorate Xiang Yu, the leader of the peasant revolt at the end of the Qin Dynasty, the king of Western Chu. Through this course, students will have a chance to learn Xiang Yu’s heroic and tragic life, and the major deeds during this period in which he lived.
亭台楼阁是中国传统建筑的重要组成部分,而台凭借“四方高而台”的优势,被古人用来操练兵士。戏马台位于江苏省徐州市,是为了纪念秦朝末年农民起义领袖项羽而修建的,通过戏马台学习者可以了解西楚霸王项羽英勇悲壮的一生以及他所处的历史时期的重大事迹。
