Eight-Form Tai Chi is also called yiduanquan. The specific actions are as follows. Commencing form, whirling arms, brushing knee and twist step, parting the hands on both sides like the running of wild horses. Swaying hands like flying clouds. Standing on one foot like Golden rooster. Kick up feet right and left. Swaying hands like grasping peacock's tail. Cross hands. Closing form. The whole routine is like a moving and calm dragon with a comfortable expression. It twists and turns easily and boldly, making the practitioners feel bright, comfortable, comfortable and refreshing. The practice of people of different ages can play a role in health preservation, fitness and self-defense.

八式太极拳也叫一段拳。全套动作包括:起式、卷肱势、搂膝拗步、左右野马分鬃、云手、揽雀尾、十字手、收势。整个套路演练起来宛如动静自若、神情自在的游龙,轻松奔放地拧转翻裹,使练习者感到明快而舒畅,舒适快慰,神怡爽心。老中青不同年龄层次的人们习练,均能起到养生、健身、防身的作用。
