The various forms of paper and the various sorts of artworks that have developed from it (such as Xuan paper, oil-paper umbrellas, paper kites, paper lanterns, hand fans, etc.) showcase the wisdom and aesthetics of the Chinese people. The advent of paper promotes the documentation and exchange of information, plays a significant role in cross-cultural communication and the advancement of science and technology. This course will take you on a journey through the history of paper making in China. You will make your own paper with traditional method following the teacher and appreciate different types of paper artworks.
