The name of “Goubuli” comes from the late Qing Dynasty. A baozi shop was owned by a guy whose nickname was “Gouzi” (dog). Because his baozi was very popular, he couldn’t spare any time to respond to customers. People teased his baozi as “Goubuli Baozi” (Ignored by the dog). Since the name spread, the business has become more popular. Goubuli Baozi is featured with the iconic cooking method, thin wrappers and adequate stuffing. This lesson will take you to learn the process of making Goubuli Baozi, including the choice of flour, the production of wrappers, stuffing, and the wrapping skills. Goubuli Baozi was listed as the National Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011. Welcome more foreign friends to Tianjin to learn Goubuli culture and taste Goubuli Baozi!

“狗不理”的名号来源于清末年间,一家包子铺的老板小名叫“狗子”,因为生意火爆经常顾不上说话,人们就笑称“狗不理包子”。自名号传开后,买卖更火。“狗不理”包子以做工精细,薄皮儿大馅儿为特点。本节课带大家了解“狗不理”包子的制作过程,包括面粉选择、面皮、馅料的制作、以及包包子的手艺。“狗不理”包子在2011年被列为国家非物质文化遗产,欢迎更多国际友人到天津来了解狗不理文化,品尝狗不理美食!
