1In Peking opera, roles are divided into Sheng, Dan, Jing, and Chou by artistic and dramatic makeups and costumes to reflect different gender, personality, age, jobs, and social status. The four main role categories in Peking opera are also called “Hangdang” in Chinese. This course introduces costumes, singing, and performance of different roles.
京剧表演根据演员所扮演角色的性别、性格、年龄、职业以及社会地位等等的不同，在化妆、服装各方面加以若干艺术的夸张，将舞台上的角色分为生、旦、净、丑四种类型，这四种角色类型在京剧里也叫“行当”。本节课分别介绍了四个行当不同的服饰装扮、演唱方法、表演技术等特点。
