Chinese characters have been in use for the longest time, and are the only one among the major writing systems of the ancient times that have been passed down to the present. Modern Chinese characters have evolved from Oracle, Jinwen, Seal Script, to Clerical Script, Cursive Script, Regular Script, and Running Script. This course takes participants on a journey through the wonders of Chinese characters by introducing the ways they are formed, such as pictographic characters indicative characters, associative characters, pictophmetic characters.
