This lecture introduces Chinese Folk Songs. As an essential part of Chinese traditional culture, Chinese Folk Songs contains multiple styles and temperaments of ethnic groups. As essence of Chinese folk culture, these folk songs were orally created by laboring people in their daily life. With a long history of thousands of years, Chinese folk song, like narrative epics, tell the changes of thousands of years in human history, development and customs. Through this lecture, international students may feel the beauty of Chinese folk songs, understand the meaning of the songs and experience traditional Chinese culture.
